Material
These matrix strips are made from a thin, smooth, and flexible transparent polyester or plastic material. This construction provides excellent adaptability around the tooth while maintaining structural integrity during restorative procedures.

Purpose
The primary function of the strip is to confine and shape composite resin or other restorative materials during placement and curing, particularly in anterior restorations, where precise contour and aesthetics are critical.

Transparency
The transparent nature of the strip is a key advantage, as it allows the clinician to light-cure the restorative material directly through the matrix. This ensures deep, complete polymerization of the composite against the tooth structure for optimal strength and bonding.

Smooth Surface
The ultra-smooth inner surface of the strip minimizes composite adhesion, resulting in a highly polished and smooth external surface of the final restoration. This significantly reduces the need for extensive finishing and polishing, saving chair time and preserving surface integrity.

Quantity and Size
The kit typically includes 100 individual strips in a standard width and thickness, providing an ample working supply for routine clinical use.

Clinical Application
The strip is placed around the proximal surface of the tooth and tightened using manual pressure or a suitable holder. The restorative material is then packed and light-cured through the strip.
