Type – Metal Saddle Contoured Matrices
These are metal saddle contoured matrices. The “saddle” design refers to their convex shape, which closely mimics the natural buccal and lingual curvature of molars and premolars. This anatomical contour supports accurate proximal surface reconstruction.
Material and Thickness
The matrices are constructed from durable, thin medical-grade stainless steel, commonly available in 0.050 mm (standard) and 0.035 mm (ultra-thin) thicknesses. This provides an optimal balance between high strength and minimal thickness at the contact area for reliable contact formation.
Purpose
The primary function of these matrices is to confine and shape the restorative material (composite or amalgam) while accurately recreating the natural proximal contour, tight interproximal contact, and proper marginal ridge height of the final restoration.
Assortment (12 Pieces)
The kit contains 12 matrices, strategically divided into three essential sizes:

Small (S): For smaller teeth or tight proximal boxes.

Medium (M): The most commonly used size for standard preparations.

Large (L): For large molars or wide, extensive preparations.
Application System
These matrices are designed to be used with a specialized TOR VM Spring Clip or similar separating device (not included in this matrix-only kit). The clip engages the matrix edges and provides the necessary tooth separation force for creating a tight interproximal contact.
