Design: Pockets and Windows

The mounts feature pre-cut openings, commonly referred to as windows or pockets, into which the X-ray films are securely positioned.

• Pocket Mounts: The film slides between two clear plastic sheets, offering maximum protection against dust, fingerprints, and damage.

• Notched or Open-Window Mounts: The film is held in place by die-cut tabs or notches around the edges of the opening, allowing quick insertion and removal.

Configurations and Film Compatibility

TPC offers a wide variety of mount configurations designed to accommodate different film sizes and diagnostic layouts. These mounts are compatible with standard dental X-ray film sizes, including #0, #1, #2, and #3.

Common configurations include layouts designed for:

• Single films (e.g., one horizontal window for a size #2 film)

• Full-mouth series, such as 12H / 6V #2, which is a widely used configuration for comprehensive adult examinations

Convenience and Practice Management

Many TPC mounts feature a thin, space-saving profile, making them easy to file and store. Some designs also include a dedicated area for inserting an ID tag or patient information, supporting efficient record keeping and organization.

Universal and Cut-Apart Roll Options

TPC also offers universal film mounts supplied on cut-apart rolls. These rolls allow practices to customize the number and size of mounts needed by cutting individual pocket windows as required, providing flexibility and cost efficiency.
