Reflection Coating

The SE Plus dental mirror features a fivefold pure silver reflection coating applied using a high-vacuum process. Silver offers the highest reflective capacity of all metals, resulting in an extremely bright, sharp, and color-accurate image. This significantly improves visual comfort and diagnostic accuracy for the dentist during clinical procedures.

Durability and Protection

The silver reflective layer is safeguarded by a unique multi-layer protective system, mainly composed of copper and titanium, and sealed with a special protective film. This advanced protection provides exceptional resistance to all types of disinfection and autoclave sterilization, ensuring an extremely long service life.

Image Type (Rear Surface Coating)

The SE Plus mirror utilizes a Rear Surface (RS) coating system, where the reflective layer is placed on the back surface of the glass. This design produces a bright and clear image, but as with all RS mirrors, it may create a slight “ghost image” or faint double reflection. This is a normal characteristic when compared to Front Surface (FS) mirrors such as TOPvision or ULTRA FS, which eliminate this effect.

Material

The mirror is constructed from German-quality stainless steel, offering excellent resistance to corrosion and full compliance with surgical instrument material standards such as ISO 7153-1. This ensures both clinical safety and long-term durability.

Stem and Handle Compatibility

The mirror is supplied with a standard threaded stem (SS), making it compatible with most common dental mirror handles. This allows for easy attachment and removal, facilitating efficient sterilization and quick replacement when needed.

Available Sizes

SE Plus mirror tops are generally available in standard dental mirror sizes, including:

• Size #4: Approximately 22 mm in diameter

• Size #5: Approximately 24 mm in diameter

These sizes allow the clinician to choose the most appropriate mirror for different clinical situations.

Available Surface Types

• Plane (Flat): Produces a true, non-magnified image, ideal for general examination.

• Hollow (Magnifying): Provides a magnified image for enhanced visualization of fine details.
