Key Features and Specifications
Contra-Angle Design
The handpiece features an angled neck and head that provide superior access and visibility to posterior teeth and difficult-to-reach interproximal areas. This design ensures comfortable operation for both the clinician and the patient, especially during finishing and polishing procedures.
Latch-Type Chuck (RA)
The head is equipped with a secure latch-type (RA) chuck mechanism that allows quick and reliable locking and release of a wide range of low-speed instruments with a 2.35 mm shank. These include RA burs, polishing cups, prophylactic brushes, and mandrels. This system ensures excellent instrument stability and concentricity during operation.
Controlled Speed Range
When connected to a standard ISO E-Type air motor, the contra-angle handpiece typically operates at speeds ranging from 20,000 to 27,000 RPM. This controlled speed range is ideal for procedures requiring gentle yet consistent power, delivering high torque without the excessive heat and speed associated with high-speed turbines.
E-Type Connection (ISO Standard)
The handpiece conforms to the international ISO E-Type standard, ensuring universal compatibility and interchangeability with all standard low-speed air and electric micromotors. This provides excellent flexibility within the dental practice.
Durable Construction
The handpiece is manufactured using a robust metal body, often made from copper or aluminum alloy, combined with reliable internal gearing. This construction results in low noise and minimal vibration during operation, enhancing both patient comfort and clinician concentration.
Sterilization Capability
The entire handpiece is fully autoclavable up to 135°C (275°F), meeting strict international standards for infection control and clinical hygiene.
