Air Motor (E-Type)
The air motor serves as the main power source of the system and connects directly to the dental unit’s air line. It is a standard ISO E-Type motor that generates rotational power, operating at a maximum speed typically ranging from 18,000 to 27,000 RPM.
Straight Handpiece (Nose Cone)
The straight handpiece attaches directly to the air motor and is mainly used for extraoral procedures, such as trimming and adjusting dentures or orthodontic appliances. It can also be used intraorally with straight burs and diamond disks when straight-line access is available.
Contra-Angle Handpiece (Push Button)
The contra-angle handpiece is the primary workhorse for most intraoral finishing and polishing procedures. It features a push-button chuck mechanism, which allows for rapid, easy, and secure insertion and removal of burs, prophy attachments, and other instruments without the need for a separate wrench or key.
Key Kit Features
Push-Button Convenience
The push-button mechanism on the contra-angle head offers a major workflow advantage over traditional latch-type or screw-in systems. It minimizes downtime between instrument changes and improves overall efficiency during procedures.
ISO E-Type Connection
All system components—including the air motor, straight handpiece, and contra-angle handpiece—conform to the international ISO E-Type standard. This ensures full compatibility and interchangeability with low-speed handpiece components from other manufacturers.
High Torque, Low Speed Performance
The system is designed to deliver high torque throughout its entire speed range. This prevents stalling during high-resistance procedures such as prophylaxis, finishing, and bone reduction.
Sterilization Safety
All components are constructed from durable materials and are fully autoclavable up to 135°C. This ensures strict compliance with modern infection control and sterilization protocols.
Versatility
The complete kit offers exceptional flexibility, covering a wide range of clinical tasks—from delicate polishing and restorative finishing with the contra-angle handpiece to laboratory work and appliance adjustments with the straight handpiece.
