Imaging Probe
The system features a high-definition, wired intraoral imaging probe equipped with a 5-megapixel CMOS or SONY CCD sensor. This high-resolution sensor enables the capture of sharp, detailed clinical images. The probe is fitted with a powerful multi-LED illumination system, commonly consisting of six SMD lamps with a transparent protective cover, ensuring uniform, shadow-free lighting within the oral cavity.
Integrated Display
The imaging system typically includes a dedicated slim LED monitor, available in 15-inch or 17-inch sizes, with a resolution of 1280 × 1024. Its high brightness level (up to 1000 cd/m²) and wide viewing angle (approximately 135°) guarantee excellent image clarity for both the clinician and the patient, even in well-lit clinical environments.
Connectivity and Storage
Multiple connectivity options are supported, most commonly VGA and USB interfaces, enabling easy integration with existing dental equipment. A key advantage is the automatic backup of captured images to a U-disk (USB drive), simplifying documentation and data management. Select models also offer an optional Wi-Fi function for wireless image transmission and seamless integration into digital patient record systems.
Imaging Functionality
The camera head is designed with a user-friendly auto-focus system, typically operating within a range of 5 mm to 50 mm, allowing clear visualization from close-up details to broader views. It supports single-image capture and multi-shot display modes (such as 1-image or 4-image views), which can be activated via a remote control or an integrated button on the camera handle, ensuring efficient and intuitive operation.
